If you’re looking for a chic and elegant way to display your wine collection, look no further than design studio Formabilio’s INCURVA. This elegant wine bottle holder blends craftsmanship with sustainably sourced materials. The designers constructed INCURVA from almost paper-thin wood layers–unsteamed beech and Canaletto walnut–molded into an elegantly curved shape. A solid walnut knob punctuates the top of the design. INCURVA’s simple and clean form gives the user the flexibility to use the object as a wall ornament, wine rack , or a magazine rack placed onto the floor. + Formabilio The article above was submitted to us by an Inhabitat reader. Tom Shields Fuses Old Furniture Into Zany New Designs

Tom Shields ‘ works primarily with furniture found in the trash. He takes these unwanted castoffs and repurposes them into different pieces of furniture or as sculptures. The intent behind his work is to encourage the viewer to look again at what is deemed unwanted, while also reexamining the chair form, which we see so often and barely notice. His work is not hacked together with screws, but instead built as the original chairs were built: using traditional woodworking techniques and joinery. + Tom Shields The article above was submitted to us by an Inhabitat reader. Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) , the embattled operator of the crippled  Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant , just released a new video showing highly radioactive water inside the damaged number 3 nuclear reactor building. There were four reactor buildings crippled after the  2011 T?hoku earthquake and tsunami . The discovery of highly radioactive water on the floor of the building could mean that the water leaked from inside the reactor itself and that it was in contact with the melted-down fuel core, although Tepco says that it is unlikely that the water has leaked outside of the building.
