Ennead Architects ,  Lateral Office ,  Seeding Office  and  White Arkitekter  were recently selected from over 100 others competing in the “ For a Resilient Rockaway ” (FAR ROC) challenge to design a resilient mixed-use community in the Rockaways. The four finalists will use lessons learned from Hurricane Sandy to continue to refine their proposals for an 80+ acre site in Queens called Arverne East. Read on to see the four top plans here .
