Throughout the course of his or her life, the average child will break more than a few toys. Some will be loved to death, while others might meet a more sudden demise in a childhood experiment gone horribly wrong. Either way, we’re left wondering what to do with the bits and pieces that used to be a plaything. Inspired by the classic fruit and vegetable paintings of Guiseppe Archimboldo, artist Freya Jobbins transforms cast off doll parts and broken toys into somewhat terrifying sculptures of faces, bodies and even Darth Vader.
