North Carolina Modernist Houses (NCMH) and MODTriangle Realtors are holding an auction on eBay for a romantic weekend getaway for two at the Cassilhaus, an extraordinary modernist home in Durham, NC, designed by architect Ellen Cassily, AIA, and her husband, Frank Konhaus. The auction, which ends in just over a week on October 2, invites the highest bidder to spend October 25-27 in the couple’s gorgeous home/art gallery perched above a babbling brook among the trees of Duke Forest. All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit North Carolina Modernist Houses (NCMH) and Project BauHow, an educational initiative for 9th and 10th graders across North Carolina.
