Bad news for the fashion industry – nearly 50 major apparel brands have links with factories that have been disregarding China’s environmental laws, according to Cleaning Up the Fashion Industry , a report by five grassroots organizations. While China has put regulations in place to prevent the severe water pollution that comes out of the textile industry, the mandates have insufficient enforcement.
