Tilikum is SeaWorld ’s most iconic killer whale, having lived at the theme park for 23 of his 34 years, and he is very sick. Veterinary staff at SeaWorld have explained his illness as a treatment-resistant form of bacterial pneumonia which could realistically prove fatal. Despite his condition, Tilikum is still expected to perform tricks and entertain crowds, perhaps right until the day he dies. Texas is being pummeled by rain that has swept away cars, an entire train, and possibly even one man attempting to rescue his dog. Authorities have been forced to close I-45 and half of the state is under flash flood warnings over the rest of the weekend. At least 20 inches of rain has poured into areas of Texas and, thanks to Hurricane Patricia , more is still expected.
