Washington Imposes Mercury Recycling Fee on CFL Producers
Washington state has passed a law requiring makers of compact fluorescent light bulbs to pay for the recycling of lighting products that contain mercury. Maine, which already has a similar program, has set up a process for expanding its producer responsibility rules.
