Michael McGillis created this timeless log sculpture ‘Wake,’ which was a big success when it was completed in 2006. McGillis created a walkway using a long log-built structure in Franconia Sculpture Park in Shafer, Minnesota. With the ends painted purple and facing inwards to the visitors, McGillis constructed 95 feet of log fencing that combined natural wood and the starkly contrasting purple or a dramatic effect. + Michael McGillis Images courtesy of Michael McGillis Permalink | Add to del.icio.us | digg Post tags: franconia sculpture park , green design , log sculpture , michael mcgillis , natural artwork , sustainable artwork
