Ryan McNaught, aka, The Brickman , was recently commissioned by the Nicholson Museum in Sydney, Australia to recreate the ancient city of Pompeii entirely from LEGO bricks ! The exhibit, now on display in the museum, shows how Pompeii looked at the moment of destruction in A.D 79, how it looked when it was discovered in the 1700′s, and how it looks today. Last week London-based GrowUp unveiled their small urban farm which produces sustainable vegetables and fish through vertical growing and aquaponics. After successfully raising over £16,000 through a Kickstarter campaign , the GrowUp team constructed their GrowUp Box from a reused shipping container, modified to include a rooftop greenhouse. The project was launched as part of this year’s Chelsea Fringe Festival , an event dedicated to green urban projects-from grassroots community gardens to avant-garde art installations.
