The owner of one of the most successful toy companies on earth is opening a LEGO school in Denmark this August. Grandson of LEGO’s original founder and a multi-billionaire, Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen conceived the idea to open a school that matches the company’s emphasis on playful engagement. However, the International School of Billund will also follow the Danish System’s educational protocol and meet international baccalaureate (IB) standards.
