The 2013 Fit EV is now officially available in California and Oregon. Honda has delivered the first 2013 Honda Fit EV to a customer in Southern California. Ventura County, California, residents, Matt and Becky Walton, who were the first people to receive the new Fit EV, were also the first couple to sign up to lease the Fit EV at www.FitEV.Honda.com . French industrial designer Patrick Norguet has designed a new reusable coffee cup that McDonald’s restaurants in France will soon give out for free to customers. Norguet has already worked with the company to redesign and modernize the company’s outlets in Italy, The Netherlands and Switzerland. Coming off that success, Norguet came up with a line of colorful, reusable cups that not only reduce waste, but they also help prevent users from burning their hands. 118 MPGe 2013 Honda Fit EV Awarded Highest EPA Fuel-Efficiency Rating

The 2013 Honda Fit EV has just been given the EPA’s highest fuel-efficiency rating ever – 118 MPGe ! The Honda Fit EV’s 20-kWh lithium-ion battery gives the electric Fit a range of 82 miles, which means that the Fit EV surpasses the EPA efficiency and range ratings of the Ford Focus Electric (105 MPGe, 76-mile range) and the Nissan Leaf (99 MPGe, 73-mile range). The Walt Disney Company has announced that by 2015 all of its networks, including The Disney Channel and Disney Junior, will stop advertising foods and beverages that “don’t meet [the company’s] nutrition guidelines.” It’s a surprising announcement considering Disney’s merchandise can be found in McDonald’s Happy Meals, but it is all part of the media giant’s efforts to tackle childhood obesity.
