Designed by Allen Jack and Cottier Architects , the stadium is located be located on a small island on Hawkesbury River in New South Wales, Australia. An eco-friendly and oval-shaped stadium, which is made up of 30 percent plywood, is used for sports activities and performances. Since the stadium is located on an island, it is accessible only by boat. The stadium gets good natural light which comes inside through several skylights fixed above grills in the roof. The circular roof of the stadium is sloping, which takes the rainwater directly into basins but reject debris. Designers have used computer simulations to design the roof. Vent grills are present throughout the floor perimeter to allow the entry of air inside the stadium. The roof has 12 turbine vents to release the air. The unique design of the stadium will definitely attract children and it will allow them to remain connected with the nature while playing or performing at the stadium. Via: Evolo

Ze Banaff: Ford F-Series Plug-in hybrid trucks Ford Motor Company has announced that the company has signed an agreement with Azure Dynamics, whereby Azure will integrate its plug-in hybrid technology in Ford’s F-Series Super Duty trucks. The technology will initially be made available on F-550, which will hit the market in early 2013. Azure Dynamics has stated that roughly two-thirds of the plug-in hybrid system will be applicable for use in Ford’s super duty trucks and the remaining one-third will need to be powertrain specific.
