NASA to Launch New Weather Satellite in Space

While everyone else is commuting home from work today, a NASA rocket will be making another, longer, trip–taking the agency’s newest weather satellite into space ! After the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite-P (GOES-P) journeys to its orbit 22,000 miles above Earth’s surface, NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) will use the data it gathers to support scientists’ work. Though satellites have been around for a while, newer satellite technology like this will undoubtedly play more of a role as climate change alters environmental conditions. Amazing House Built From 6 Million Beer Bottles

If you read Inhabitat, chances are you’re a pretty avid recycler – but we’re pretty sure that you’re no match for Tito Ingenieri , who takes his recycling a bit further than your average sorting between paper, glass and plastic. He’s spent the last 19 years building a giant house in Quilmes, Buenos Aires out of over 6 million beer bottles! We can only hope he had a frat house nearby to help him source materials.
