3D Systems , a manufacturer of 3D printing solutions , just unveiled its new ProJet 4500 full-color plastic 3D printer . The company is calling it the world’s first and only continuous-tone full color 3D printer . What this means is that it’s able to produce 3D prints with a full range of colors that blend as seamlessly as a rainbow. What’s more, the printer also features integrated material recycling to cut down on wasted materials and usage. The Obama administration announced Friday that it would allow certain wind farms to kill or injure bald eagles without penalty for up to 30 years, in an effort to encourage companies to invest in green energy. The controversial move highlights a dilemma faced by many environmentalists: the fact that wind power, while better for the environment than fossil fuels, carries its own cost in the form of injured animals who happen to wander too close to turbines.
