New Seed Bomb McDonald’s Ad is Illegal to Remove Because It’s Made of Rare Poppies

Comments Off on New Seed Bomb McDonald’s Ad is Illegal to Remove Because It’s Made of Rare Poppies

This new McDonald’s ad that appeared on the side of the road in California has more staying power than any regular billboard because it’s actually illegal to remove.  The sign is actually the result of a  seed bomb ing where the shape of the famous golden arches is made up of rare yellow California Poppies. Designed by Sean Click , the McDonald’s logo looks like it’ll be there a long time since the poppies are illegal to dig up in the state of California! The  environmental graffiti is somewhat ironic, as it represents a food company not synonymous with a healthy lifestyle but be that as it may, the idea  of using the protected state flower is a bold, and very smart move. McDonald’s aside, the planted ad is innovative, fun and cost effective. We all know how important our undergarments are in our daily lives but did you know they could provide a totally different kind of support than what you’re used to? Yesterday, PACT unveiled its new holiday collection of men’s and women’s skivvies featuring Yves Behar’s Japanese wood block-inspired prints. The philanthropic underwear company will be donating ten percent of the proceeds from each pair of boxers, briefs or panties to Architecture for Humanity , who will use the money to rebuild an entire village in Japan that was almost completely destroyed in this past March’s disasters. So if your underwear drawer could use a refresh, or if you’re looking for affordable stocking stuffers that won’t end up going to waste (undies are one thing everyone needs), head on over to PACT and pick up a pair or five for a great cause! Solar engineers have long sought to develop an energy-generating glazing that is as capable of producing power as it is easy on the eyes. The feat may just have been accomplished by The Center for Architecture Science and Ecology (CASE), who have developed a concentrating solar system that is not only modern and attractive but extremely efficient and cost effective. The system is made up of rows of pyramid-shaped glass receptors that move with sunlight throughout the day, magnifying the incoming light and capturing it in a small photovoltaic cell located in the center of each pyramid
