Easter eggs these days come in all shapes and sizes, but none are more unusual or awesome than this grass-covered Green-Egg, where miniature sustainable sky-scrapers and vertical farms soar from the base. Designed by architect Matteo Cainer for the annual ‘Art in the Easter Egg’ event in Rome, this extraordinary idea comes complete with urban farms and environmentally friendly towers which rise from a grassy terrain beneath. Through the design, Cainer re-imagines the urban landscape and explores the relationship that architecture can have with nature.
