When something as devastating as a hurricane impacts your life, it can shatter your outlook on the world. Inspired by the broken glass surrounding his home after Hurricane Andrew in 1992, New York artist Daniel Arsham has created three new figurative sculptures. Covered in shards of cast off glass, the piece also references his previous adventures in upcycling where the artist collected 25,000 defunct ping-pong balls to cover the walls of his tiny NYC apartment.
