Ringling Bros Circus will stop exploiting elephants for entertainment by 2018

In an announcement that marks a huge win for animal welfare activists, Ringing Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus will phase out the show’s infamous elephants from performances by 2018. According to the statement given to Associated Press, the circus decided to change their practices almost solely based on the enormous public concern about mistreatment of animals, which activists have spent years insisting is a top priority. Packaging the Future: Biodegradable Planter Pots for Spring Gardening

Over the last decade there has been a dramatic increase in the availability of biodegradable plant pots , and I’m finding them everywhere from my beloved Gilbertie’s Herb Gardens (which sells locally grown, organic veggie seedlings and THE most gorgeous annuals and perennials) to the embarrassed-that-I-shop-there-occasionally Home Depot.
