The arm of the United Nations that deals with climate change negotiations announced recently announced its support for the campaign towards fossil fuel divestment . According to the Guardian , the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) said it was lending its “moral authority” to the divestment campaign as it seeks a strong deal to confront global warming at this year’s key UN summit in Paris in December. United Nations  Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon is calling on countries around the world to take strong measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fight global warming . “I am asking them (world countries) to announce bold commitments and actions that will catalyse the transformative change we need,” said Ban at an event in the United Arab Emirates capital of Abu Dhabi to prepare for a major UN climate change summit in New York taking place September 23, 2014. “Climate change is the defining issue of our time. An architectural replica of the iconic United Nations Headquarters building in New York City is the latest addition to the LEGO Architecture kit. On Friday UN secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon placed the final block on a 10-foot replica, which took eight men a week to build by hand. The original building was built in 1952 and designed by an international team of 11 architects, including Le Corbusier and Oscar Niemeyer.
