Tesla celebrates a small win this week in New Jersey, where the Senate Commerce Commission voted unanimously (6-0) to approve a bill that would make an exception to the dealers-only car sales rule that blocked the electric car maker from the state last year . The bill is currently awaiting a vote in the full senate, which must pass the measure before it can go Governor Chris Christie’s desk. If it passes, Tesla will be allowed to set up as many as four retail locations in New Jersey for selling their electric cars , and they would be required to establish at least one facility for service. Although Toyota changed its production plans for the small iQ electric vehicle, the Japanese automaker has announced that the iQ EV will be offered in the U.S. under the Scion brand. California and Massachusetts-based prefab home company Blu Homes just announced that they have teamed with non-profit Homeward Bound of Marin to provide permanent, supportive housing for low-income families in Marin County, California. The project will be called Oma Village, and is going to transform the existing site of an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center into an eco-friendly community of 14 one and two-bedroom homes. While walking through the woods near Eureka Springs, Arkansas, one might be forgiven to mistake Thorncrown Chapel for a grove of trees in the middle of the forest.
