Sleek BMW i8 hybrid sports car wins 2015 Green Car Award

BMW i8 , a hybrid sports car, nabbed the 2015 Green Car Award this morning at the New York International Auto Show . The 2015 model year BMW i8 has an all-electric range of 23 mi (37 km). The sleek hybrid spyder can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 159mph (256 km/h). The Green Car Award is a hotly anticipated honor bestowed annually by the World Car Awards. The awards ceremony was held this morning, following the announcement of the top three finalists last month at the Geneva Motor Show .
