With world-famous parks like the High Line and Central Park , smaller green spaces in New York City often get overlooked. But this summer, the small City Hall Park at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge has become a destination for tourists and New Yorkers alike, thanks to the first ever outdoor retrospective of Sol LeWitt’s work . Put on by the Public Art Fund , “ Sol LeWitt: Structures, 1965-2006 ” is a display of 27 pieces by LeWitt, placed strategically throughout the quiet outdoor space. The sculptures frame the green space, creating a fresh view of the historic park, transforming it into a temporary public art garden.
